I am thinking about buying a graphics card for my old rig and am faced with a dilemma of either choosing a card w/ 64-bit, 256MB mem or another card w/ 128-bit, 128MB memory.

Given budget constraints, what do you guys think is more important?

we need to know the speed of the memory, if they're the same then Kensai is right.

umm...okay, so you mean i should buy the card w/ 128-bit, 128MB memory.
By the way, what did you mean by "Bid-width of the memory"?

128-bit w/ 128MB> 64-bit w/ 256mb.

At the low end, there's no use in having 256MB of VRAM.

Think of 64 bit memory with 256 MB's of space as an eye dropper trying to fill up a very large pool.

The GPU if doing any gaming. A GF4 ti4200 with 64 MB is better than a GF4mx with 512 MB RAM and 11ty-billion bit memory bus.
