People say it's dangerous because you never really know what you are getting. Look on a bottle of Absolut and you know it's 40%. I think the govenment only claims it's "dangerous" because they get no tax revenue from it. The New York Times did a nice article on the whole thing a month back.
heh. i had the same question, kinda. I heard you can make a small portion for individual consumption, if you file a license and stuff, but i'm not sure :-\
Moonshine got it's reputation for being dangerous because some people used automobile radiator and refridgerators for condensers. The lead leached out of the solder joints into the product. A lot of people went blind and died because of that.
shine aint illegal because of its slky content, but because the govt gets no money off it. If it was mass produced by large distilleries you would not have to worry about whats in it.
HELL, boy! We're us'in the biggest radiator we can find!
Rastus
They go blind from the wrong ingredients and antifreeze contamination...very little lead ever makesit's way in to the stuff...about the same as lead pipes or lead soldered copper plumbing.
smartt..it's obvious YOU ain't never imbibed! More beer......HA!
