Do I need to install it? I just bought SB Live Platinum 5.1 , I am kinda blur and lost.

LiveWare is the full suite of applications and utilities as well as the drivers for the SBLive card. It includes the EAX and Soundfont managers, media player, and various "useless" utilities.

You should already have LiveWare version 3, which is the latest version, if you have the SBLive Platinum 5.1. Have a look at the software which is included with your card.
