What is legal now that will be illegal in 20 years?

Personally, I think some junk foods, and drinks (soda/pop) will be banned because of their lack of nutritional value, and detriment to health-care systems.

Can you imagine the war that Coke would wage if it became illegal?

Option 2:

Overuse of, or abuse of fresh water supplies will also be cracked down on a lot harder than they are today.

Abortion seems to be getting closer to the chopping block. We'll see what happens.

Doubt that very much, though perhaps that depends which part of the world you're referring to. Certainly not in North America.

Junk food/fatty food has the ability to save your life. Smoking does not. Smoking physically harms others around you. Junk food/fatty food does not.

They are not comparable. And they will not be treated the same in the laws. Without fat in your diet you die. Seems pretty silly to outlaw what you need to live.

Speech, notably.

Masturbation, if George Bush has his way.

He seems to take an interest in what people do in the privace of their homes. I know that took some deep thought...
funny you speak of deep thought and you don't seem to engage in it.

QFT
But this would only be in effect for the middle and poor class of people because the cost to do anything will be so high (gas, entertainment, fancy gas guzzling autos, ect...) would be out of their reach and would only b able to afford to go to work and buy food. Also because of the increase our children will not be able to go to school because of the high cost so there will be a increase of children that wont be able to get the education they need to get out of being in poor or middle class standards.

We would then become like farm animals to the government. We work so they can take our pay in the form of taxes and wont be able to get in the way of the rich and well to do because we cant afford to do anything more. They will only see people of thier class at amusment parks and movie theaters and such. And not be bothered by "the scum of the earth" messing up thier way of life and how it should be. At that point there wont be descrimination of people of color but against people of class and what they are worth.
