These things change pretty quickly, but I thought it was the West Edmonton Mall.

That would be Edmonton, Alberta. It was at one time but I think there is a bigger one in the States.

MoA was for a while until they outdid it in Canada, maybe the one Saltin is talking about.

If you guys have ever been to Edmonton in the winter, you'll know why they need the biggest mall.

I'm pretty sure that the West Edmonton mall WAS the biggest until the Mall of America.

Nope. I saw a show on the West Edmonton mall on Discovery Channel once and it mentioned how it was larger than Mall of America.

Correction:

West Edmonton Mall: Over 800 stores.

Mall of America: (largest in the US by the way), just over 500 stores.

Damn, we have a mall here in Vancouver called Metrotown that's got 535 stores, and it doesn't seem that big...

They also have a bunch of hotels, a theme park, water park and food courts. It's rather incredible. :)

The one in Edmonton is larger and was actually built first - they were both built by some Armenian developers called the Ghermazian brothers. The one in Edmonton is the world's largest mall, though the MoA is no small fry itself!

What kind of mall is open until 9PM during the week, but only 6PM on weekends? Oh, that's right, this is in Canada.

While Edmonton is bigger now, the Mall of America is doubling in size. :)

(I live about 3 miles from it.)

Edmonton mall is larger, and it was built sometime in the late 80's, early 90's... i even have table mats with an aerial of the complex.

Oh my god that place is a bitch to walk. But, it's pretty cool, as long as you don't go too often. One problem is that there are too many damn tourists there, but it would be the same case in Orlando, so that really wouldn't matter.
