What is known about the Tyan S2466 Tiger MPX Dual AMD Athlon Motherboard?

Can the 66MHz 64-bit bus be combined with other hardware to make a fast and reasonably priced disk I/O subsystem?

i believe the main difference is the 66mhz pci bus, and the answer to the question, yes of course, if you have say a 64bit scsi raid controller, or whatever, yes it will benefit .. hope this helps

Budman is that issue only happening on the mpx boards now??? I know the original tyan boards could run tbirds, durons, xp's and mp's....

Actually ViperGTS is running dual xp's on an MP motherboard without any problems at all and has been for well over a month now. There are others also with this configuration that I cannot think of right now.

I too am running dual xp's in a tyan tiger mp.
the new mpx chipset will only allow mp processors to run in smp.

I emailed Asus, and they said XP's would work in SMP on their board.
