what is KLinux?

i see that word used alot on this board, but don't know what it is can someone elighten me? i am assuming it's some sort of Linux OS, am i right?

Klinux is a one disk linux with DNet client thing made by our worthy member kilowatt

It's basically linux with network drivers and the DNet client and kilowatt is working on adding stuff to it I think...

It's great for crackrack setups and such

so you mean this is an all-in-one kind of thing, with the OS and the DNet client on it? so if i had a few k6-2's and 486's with just DOS on the hard drives(which i am planning to set to crack RC5) i just have to load this on? because i was planning on setting up a little crackrack, but i knew i was going to run into problems with the OS's, and i have no experience with Linux as of yet(as soon as i get my system built, i'm going to dual boot it with linux so i can learn)

Yup that is exactly right... except you don't need a harddrive... just a floppy drive and a NIC I'm not sure about the 486 support tho' ... I've used another one for that:

CCalverts Self Contained Client Disk which is more automated but lacks some of the features the later releases of Klinux has I think...

Anyway, we'll help you with any issues you encounter if you decide to try linux so don't worry and jump right in!

do you know the web address of where i can get this? it would be amazingly helpful(the crackrack i'm hoping to build is going to be my term project for my hardware course )
and eventually i'm going to need some help when it comes to networking the slaves to the main server, but at least now i know it can be done
