What is jot.html

Every time I open a post on the Anandtech RSS feed, I see a pop-up dialog box stating "you have chosen to open jot.html from twitter.com" "What program do you wish to use?" My browser, Safari, is the default application listed in the dialog box, but clicking "OK" does not open a browser tab.
I have to click "Cancel" to get rid of the ridiculously repetitive dialog box.
I find nothing about this on Google searching.
I do not have a twitter account.
It does NOT happen on ANY of the nine other RSS feeds I follow.
It's been happening with the Anandtech feed for about 6-12 months. I don't recall exactly when it started.

WTH is "jot.html," and HOW do I get rid of these stupid pop-ups?

Okay, so I think I have this. It's a Thunderbird bug.

Thunderbird isn't properly handling the Twitter JS embed code, which we use to allow easy tweeting of articles and show the tweet count. As you can see, Twitter has known about this for a while and hasn't fixed it; we can't fix it either since it's not a bug with AT code. And since Mozilla is trying to get rid of Thunderbird, I wouldn't expect to see them fix it either.

Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you at this time. Twitter and Thunderbird just do not get along.
