what is it with anandtech OFF Topic section

Hi to moderators,

i was about to type in my new topic on Leanordo dicaprios performance in OFF TOPIC section but i dont know how before me finishing the topic there was a topic named "Leanordo Decaprio" with my name in the posting section. its horrible it shows nothing in the post except for my signature WTF is this, moderators can u please explain this to me.is this a virus as such :Q

I would guess it is one of those errors, which occurs somewhere between your keyboard, and the back of your chair. 😛

You can make fake quotes anyway, it's not that hard. Someone made a fake quote post in your thread, and you posted a blank thread. Simple.

i did not even post a blank thread, why the hell would i do that before completing the Subject of the POST, you guys made me look like an idiot with lot of edited quote which i never posted. i am still sucking my OWN head for what has happened so far.

this is for me :- "WELCOME TO ANANDTECH" and "OFF TOPIC SECTION" in particular.

this seems to happen from time to time. though despite my post count I have never encountered this.

I would say the problem is on your end. probably somehow the focus shifted and an enter press made it post.

Have fun with that. I think what's making you look worse is that you're making too big of a deal of it. People make accidents. People here make fun of accidents. End of story. You need to develop thicker skin, methinks.

I agree. I'm sure it's a user problem. I've made many posting errors in my stay here.

When you typed in the topic title you hit enter, which submitted the thread before you were done. Unfortunatly hitting the enter key when your typing in the title or subtitle will submit the thread without any contents.
