Yes, he is a M.D. gynecologist!

And Obama is a J.D. (Juris Doctor)
And Newt Gingrich is a Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy)

No one calls them doctor. Why? Because their supporters realize there's no need to try to create a false sense of legitimacy. Personally I like to refer to him as Ron "Scrooge McDuck" Paul, since his economic policies mirror those of the main character from Ducktales.

It most likely has to do with the fact that his supporters think it will lend him some sort of credibility. There are other doctors in Congress that are not commonly referred to as 'doctor'. Most likely this is because they don't feel they have a deficit of legitimacy like Ron Paul does.
Fvcking owned, this is exactly why.

I'm going to create a 1 person kingdom, name myself king, and demand people call me Your Grace. Then anything I say is uttered by a king.

I don't know, but there's a ton of them. Oh you mean only Christian Creationism, that's right because you really don't even acknowledge other religions creation theories.

What are you talking about? Is Dr Ron Paul a Muslim?

This is the most blatant troll thread I've seen in quite some time. Surprised it's not locked already.

This is definitely a bait/troll thread.

But since we're piling on Paul, here's a laundry list of reasons why no one takes the kook seriously (i.e. not just because he supports widely debunked Austrian economic theories):

http://thehill.com/video/campaign/2...ul-quips-his-way-through-tax-release-question - Paul won’t release tax returns
http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...20/gIQAvblFVQ_story.html?wpisrc=al_politics_p - …people close to Paul’s operations said he was deeply involved in the company that produced the newsletters, Ron Paul & Associates, and closely monitored its operations, signing off on articles and speaking to staff members virtually every day. “It was his newsletter, and it was under his name, so he always got to see the final product. . . . He would proof it,’’ said Renae Hathway, a former secretary in Paul’s company and a supporter of the Texas congressman.

The legitimacy issue is valid, but there IS a difference between an MD and a PhD/JD. In regular day-to-day discussions, medical doctors are usually called "doctor" and academics are not.

Either way -- who cares?

Why stop with Bush and Obama; hell, I guarantee you it's far easier to defend the stupidities of any POTUS in history than it is the defend the Paul nonsense I've listed in that post. Paul is literally proven wrong over a period of 3 decades and all his supporters can come up with is

Just this one? This sub forum is peppered with crap like this day in and day out as of late and there is a common denominator for each thread.

For some, politics goes beyond interest, beyond an obsession. It's a reason for existence. Nothing happening at any given minute? Create something. Blurt out whatever bizarre, convoluted thought is going through your head at that moment in time.

It got stopped years back and it will get stopped again. The question is how long is it going to take? Let the powers that be know your thoughts on the matter. I just did.

Edit: I even made a parody thread to try and call attention to it and people responded like I actually had something to say! I was pretty much floored. Whooshed right over the top of far too many heads.

I, personally, would never term you a troll. Useful idiot is more what comes to mind. Your usefulness will eventually come to an end and you will be banned from P&N again. Can't come too soon. You function as the court jester for the amusement of the King. When the King no longer has a use for you, you will be cast aside.

There is a huge difference between an occasional thread and the shotgun approach of peppering the sub-forum with posts to the point that every third one belongs to the same poster. There are folks here that enjoy the banter with the jester but I am not one of those.

I hold no power here, I make no decisions and my input is neither desired or heeded. There is a very real chance I will be sanctioned by the King for disparaging the court jester. But I have spoken my piece and I know that I am not alone. I am just more vocal about it. Occasionally, someone must make a stand. November is too far off.

One being a medical doctor of any sort doesn't amount to a hill of beans when you are elected to public office. This "Doctor Paul" crap is nothing but a marketing ploy. People associate doctors with a higher level of respect and supposed admiration, deserved or not. It reminds of me of my own governor, "Doctor" Robert Bentley. In our state, a person is supposed to have their full legal name on the ballot, and no nicknames were allowed. He was popularly known as a doctor and even used it in his own political ads. So, instead of not having his (also irrelevant) medical degree noted on the ballot, he has his legal name changed from Robert Julian Bentley to Doctor Robert Bentley for the purposes of the election. Ron Paul is no better.

I would contend that a larger problem is his adherence to clown college economics, but to each their own.

This is a funny funny reply. So what kind of economics got us 15 trillion in the rears? Smart economics or completely retard type economics . In the real world If I can't majke my payments I not allowed to print money to cover my ass . I lose everthing or go bankrupt and farmers have learned how to use bankruptcey like the gooberment prints money . My sons father inlaw has 5,000 acres of the best farm land in the country . He has filed bankruptcy 2 times and steal has the farm . In the fall of each year he pays his children 10,000 dollars for working the farm . Each fall after harvest he writes them a check for 10,000 dollars and they cash it and give him back the cash. They also claim to be religious church going Catholics . LOL!

You shouldn't laugh at Ron Paul's economics, they represent a pretty horrendous threat to the prosperity of our society if anyone is ever foolish enough to implement them. I was referring to their scientific rigor, which is approximately equal to the average clown college curriculum.

As for the financial mess, that was primarily due to the lack of government intervention in financial markets (derivatives in particular). Since Ron Paul supports this on steroids if you didn't like the result in 2008 you're probably going to be absolutely terrified of the results if he gets his way.

Wrong, if the government just stayed out of the way it wouldn't have happened

http://thehill.com/video/campaign/20...lease-question - Paul won’t release tax returns

The loony returners are piling on Paul too. :D

He has some good ideas, but his implimentation of them is horrifying...when he even bothers to say how he would impliment them. Firing almost everyone at the IRS and destroying the entire personal tax industry overnight would crush the currently fragile economy, as an example.
