I keep seeing on various sites the term "High Density" Memory that is supposedly only to be used on AMD systems. Anyone know the scoop on this?

it's where the memory chips on the RAM stick are all on only 1 side. When they're on both sides, then it's not High Density.

basically, it's putting 2 sides worth of memory onto 1 side of the RAM stick

So what about compatibility? Will it work pretty much with most AMD boards out there for sale now? Does it take a performance hit?

right meaning - the chips' density, for example 128Mbit chip vs 256Mbit chip.
wrong meaning - the chips' configuration, for example 16x8Mbit vs 32x4Mbit.
