I want to know what PC1066 memory would work best with my Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P mobo. I want something fast and reliable not necessarily cheap. I am looking for 4GB(2Gbx2)

* You are asking about DDR2 1066... Correct? There' also a DDR3 1066.
* Why would you choose the 1066 rated memory?

I was referring to DDR2 memory.
To answer your question about why....
To have some headroom for overclocking. Its actually cheaper than the PC800 memory with the rebate anyway so why not go with the faster rated memory?

You can buy PC800 and HOPE that it will reach higher FSB speeds or you can buy memory rated at it and have a better chance I would think.

I'm using Corsair Dominator 2x2GB sticks on my UD3P. They used to be <$40 AR, but now the prices are creeping up a bit. The XMS2 sticks you linked would be just fine, too. The Dominators seem to run fine @1066 with 1.8v with stock timings, which is nice.

That memory's working voltage is listed at 2.1volts same as mine and you are running it at 1.8V? Wow! I really get confused with this Corsair memory stuff. You have basically two identical products sold under 2 different product lines with exactly the same specs. So why is there such a different on price and why do they bother selling it as two different lines. Its a puzzle to me.

Thanks for your comments by the way.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the XMS2 and Dominators, other than the use of heat sinks vs. heat spreaders. The specs appear identical. No guarantees that you will be able to get by with 1.8v, but that was my experience. I booted at 2.0v, then went down to 1.9 then 1.8v after stress testing. Ran them at 4-4-4-12 @ 800 for a while, too. I'm also using an E8400. I hear lots of good things about the G.Skill sticks, too. Hard to go wrong with any of those.

I run an EP45-UD3R with Kingston HyperX T (2 x 2GB) PC8500 DDR2. Super cool running, and OC pretty well.

HyperX T1

Without a hitch it'll run 5-5-5-18 at 1066 @ 2.0 volts. It will go faster than that without any effort

It IS large, so small form facttor and small case need to check for room.

Edit: It will also run 1066 with 400 mhz latch at 5-5-5-15 at 2.0 volts (now confirmed)
