What is good for making web page titles?

Any good, maybe free, programs to make cool text (jpgs) with transparent background for say a web page title?

a JPEG with a transparent background? i think you have a bit more reading to do there buddy...

Thanks buddy. I mean like 3d text with transparent background (the non-text part) so that on the web page it just looks like text and not an image with text in it.

BTW I just read that jpegs cannot have transparancy, just gif and png (maybe others). Not that part is important, just the concept.

So instead of some useful information, I get some smart a$$ comment with no help? Like everyone is born with the knowledge that jpgs don't have transparency info, but gifs do. Ya, seems like real common knowledge. Jackoffs.
