When looking at processors and comparing 266 vs. 333 FSB, what is the difference? What does the FSB do for the computer and would I see much of a difference?

I am preparing to purchase a new processor. My plan is to purchase a "AMD XP2600+" I find a 266 FSB version and a 333 FSB version. The price is actually better at this time for the 333 FSB, so I will probably get that one. But I am curious and would like one of you really smart techy guys to help me understand better what that means... Ok?

Thanks

The FSB is basically the speed of data traveling into the CPU, so higher is usually better. If you get the 333MHz FSB version (which I'd recommend) make sure your memory can handle the speed, and looking at your system rig page, your RAM is fine.

Front side bus is the main memory bus for the CPU.
Back side bus is the cache memory bus.
