I saw some mobo review saying that without the fix PCI/AGP frequency, the overclocking ability of the mobo will be lower.

So what is "fix PCI/AGP frequency" ? Can someone explain it to me please.

Is it a really big deal? Does it affect much if I want to overclock 2500+@3200+ on a mobo without fix PCI/AGP frequency?

It means that the board will keep the PCI/AGP frequency at 33/66 mhz no matter what you set the FSB to. The specs call for 33/66 and some cards don't like higher frequencies.

In the old days, and on some boards still, the PCI/AGP frequencies rise with the FSB because they were all generated off of the same clock. This often caused one or more of your cards to quit working and end your overclock early, even though the CPU, mobo, and the memory could have gone faster. Many cards do not work if the PCI/AGP bus is run too far above spec.

Most boards today lock the PCI/AGP at 33/66, so you are only limited by the memory, CPU, and motherboard. You are free to see how high you can get the FSB to go. You don't have to worry about finicky video/network/sound or other cards ruining your overclock attempts.
