What is everyone's plans once AMD raises the prices on the Opterons that they are no longer feasable to buy?

Will you guys go back to the X2 line of chips or will you guys just wait it out for AM2? Myself, I may get a dual core chip for my work box but I think for myself, I'm going to wait it out until AM2 arrives and there is a decent mobo chipset that comes with it.

i would wait for AM2. i was thinking of goin to dual core opty but its a PITA for such a short period of time

I ordered me a 146 tonight w/2 gigs of GSKILL pc4000 and the Asrock so I can use my AGP card for a bit.

Goodbye crappy unstable overheating motherboard and PSU killing Prescott.

O how I hate thee.

going to buy a X2 pretty soon... dont have the stomach to wait untill AM2.

besides, AM2 is a nice upgrade... maybe it'll see 65nm chips.. but the real thing worth looking at are the K10's... if they areon AM2, then i might think of going am2
