Can anyone tell me what error 57 is. I am using Bootit NG to resize my partition C and make it larger. The problem is when I go to resize it says error 57 found on file system. Use scandisk or chkdsk/f. I google but can't find anything to really help. Anyone on here know what to do?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not familiar with the software you are using, but it sounds like the drive is damaged or there is some corruption. From a xp cd using recovery console, do chkdsk C: /r -or- from windows, open a command prompt and do chkdsk C: /f (you will have to restart after that)
