It's the same thing that drove the Dems' anti-Bush hysteria in 2000 and 2004. If it's not your party it's not the proper choice. Standard politics divided along party lines.

None of it matters. Obama will win the 2012 election because the GOP alternatives are a joke.

No, that's not it. It's the political parties that have been moving more right...

Just compare Eisenhower to today's republicans

then compare today's democratic party to F.D.R.

It should be obvious that neither party is as left leaning as they were before...

Moderates in the republican party are being abandoned as are leftists in the Democratic Party... generally speaking.
