I'm confused, from the name I thot this was like a satelite ISP service. But in reading reviews of it people kept talking about the fact that they were too far away from the CO to get good speeds. So, is DirecTV DSL NOT a satelite ISP?

DSL = Digital Subscriber Line

Therefore DirectTV DSL would not be satelite based. IMHO

Direct tV DSL used to be telocity. I have had extremely bad service with telocity and would not reccomend them to anyone, even with a name change.

I hooked it up 2 weeks ago. So far so good. It's just my local Bellsouth DSL service, resold to me at a lower price.

hey, i have been using telocity for 2 years (now directvDSL) no problem with telocity whatsoever, no down-time and 50.00 for 1mb SDSL service, who can beat that??

once it switched to directv, i have expierience some intermitted connection, not really good...

but with Telocity, it was the best experience i've had...i have recommended it to few friends and they are all satifisfied with telocity...until it went bankrupt...then Directv start messing things up
