Some say the Mushkin 2-2-2 and some say the OCZ EB.

Which one is better for A64?

Does it matter if the board is unmodded or not? (My board will most likley not be modded).

Which one is better for stock speeds?

Which one is better for overclocking?

Thanks

I have not used the Mushkin 2-2-2 special, but I did have some Mushkin level 1 that ran 2-3-2 timings and topped out at 227FSB. Good stuff. I have since moved on to some OCZ PC3500 EB and I personally think it is pretty awesome. It runs 2.5-2-2 to 240 @ 2.9v and I currently have it memtest error free at 250 with 3-2-2 timings @ 3.0v. It has even run at 275, with loose timings (not stable though). There is a article on anandtech today that reviewed the Mushkin 2-2-2 ram and said that the OCZ EB was as fast with cas 2.5. I think that either would be a fine choice.

One thing to keep in mind is that the EB likes voltage, as do most high performance ram. Chances are you'll want at least 2.9v to get decent overclocks with 3.2v being a better choice if you plan on running 1:1 and a high HTT. Problem is most A64 motherboards top out at 2.8-2.9 vdimm. GOod news is that using the memory divider has only a small impact on performance.
