Considering a new apt... wondering what this area is like?

Safety? General feel? Demographics?

married with children used to be filmed there. my co-worker and supervisor both live there and have no complaints at all about the neighborhoods they live in.

Culver City is changing rapidly, mainly thanks to Sony Pictures. More and more tech workers are moving in there. Also, the price of the west side is pushing people down towards Culver City.

Culver City used to be pretty poor and run down. That's starting to change. Crime is still relatively high (compared to say, Torrance, CA), but is starting to fall.

It's a rather expensive place to live. As Corporate Thug said, a 2 bedroom apt is probably going for $1400-1600 in an average neighborhood.

Traffic is horrid, that closed to Santa Monica, LAX, the 405, etc.

HMm. Not bad. Unlike INGLEWOOD.

Damn. Monterey Park is 61% asian? But then it's actually diverse. I thought living ina 44.4% Asian community is crazy enough, but then again we're just White + Asian = 96% of the population. Even the Asian towns in LA aren't all that Asian cuz there are a lot of Latinos.

I love Titos tacos, you love Titos too!!

This man knows what he is talking about. Tito's is awesome, if insanely unheathy 🙂

Culver City is pretty nice. I live right by it. Traffic is okay, depending on if you will be working north or south of CC. If you work north of CC, be prepared for hell, but south of CC is okay. This is being dictated by the 405 freeway.
