What is "CUE" for on dual cd players, or anything regarding DJ'ing?

I seen that button on my Uncle's dual cd players. What does it do, and how do I use it?

It stops at an Exact spot, and restarts where it left off, you can also program it to stop and start in an exact spot. Basically

in my limited djing experience, you select a track, hit the button, and hit it again to play. i could be using this incorrectly, but that's one way!

edit: eh in retrospect, my explanation is not what i wanted to say. see the above post for what i intended.
