What is considered soft p0rn?

My gf and I were talking in the car today, and this topic came up... she asked me what's considered soft p0rn and hard p0rn, and I couldnt answer her...

So where do you draw the line between soft p0rn and hard p0rn? Is there some set rules you follow???

Softcore generally has a plot of some sort.
Softcore is more sensual while hardcore is more aggressive and "demeaning."
Also the extent of s/c porn explicitness is female full frontal nudity. Male genitalia and sexual acts are never overtly displayed.

My understanding is that softcore porn is female-only (or male, if that's your thing), and just frontal nudity, nothing much worse than that.

i'd say soft porn isn't allowed to show the guys balls, and not allowed to have like oral or anal 'buisness'. usually just a certain camera angle where u can only see the womens tah-tahs/face

That's what I thought too, soft p0rn = no penetration...

the reason it came up was we were talking about the main actress in the upcoming The Transporter movie... Since we are both from Hong Kong, she is quite familiar to us (the actress' singer bf used to live next door to me)...

There was another thread on here yesterday talking about her, and people said she started her career doing soft p0rn... when I told my gf this, she said she remembered the actress' earlier p0rn movies showed penetration...

That's what got us thinking what's soft p0rn...
