That's like saying "what's a good number of visitors to a store in a month?"

It depends: are you talking about a walmart or a place that sells $10,000 grand pianos? They'll have different expectations.

a personal homepage or what ?

I run a fan site for a hockey player and get 1500 visitors a day. My personal homepage probably gets about 20 a day. ;)

Yup. People are asshats. Anyhow, I get only like 100 people connecting to my site every day.

Judging by this thread, I question if you have the intellectual capability to run a convincing site about how much Peta Sucks. Why don't you tackle a simpler subject like "I like cheese"?

Hits per day is going to be determined largely by the content of the site. If it's just a personal blog, maybe 200 a month? I help run a high traffic BF2 stats web site that averages over 150,000 unique hits per day, but the content is something that a lot of people are interested in.

when you've exceeded your bandwidth for the month before the month is up, you know you've got a good number of hits.

how many hits do you need daily in order to make decent cash from advertisers? when I say decent cash I mean like 7-10k per month

Your question is too wide open. If your goal is to make money, you can make a few dollars a day with about 500 hits a day. More hits will equal more money. If you just want personal satisfaction, you might get that with 10 hits, or you might want 10000 hits.

To answer your question as well as I can, I think 500 hits a day would be impressive if you don't spend any money to bring people to your site.

well I didn't plan on ads but if I could make some cash i might. So far this month I have had 2308650 hits. If I did decided to use ads, how should I go about it? What's the best way?
