what is comparable to SPAM?

Spam is most likely made with higher quality meat than your average hotdog.

As far as similar foods, I'd say that "cheese" in a can is just about as high in fat and salt.

Never tried it on a sandwich like that, but it sounds decent, kind of a Spam Mcmuffin. Spam is a nice side dish for a breakfast of eggs over, toast and hash browns. If you can have ham, bacon or sausage with eggs, spam could be a good choice too. I like it fried up on a sandwich with some lettuce, onion and spicy mustard.

In 33 years, I've never had a single bite of Spam. I keep wanting to try it, but it makes me think of things like headcheese, which is kind of ironic, since I'm a sausage fanatic, and who knows WTF they put in those things?

I remember reading an article about a cannibal tribe somewhere (ate their dead) and they loved SPAM as it was the closest they could get to human flesh.

Hasn't anybody had Treet by Armour? It's the poorer man's Spam.

What is really good is Underwood's Chunky Chicken Spread (it is a small can in a white paper wrapper with a little red devil on it. Good eating there 🙂
