I have a 6950 with shaders unlocked to 6970 and I also have it overclocked to 840/1325. Is my video card likely dieing? Also this is not permanent. Once I refresh the screen it goes away. This also happens to other pictures and windows as well. What is happening?

I was using a new pc with integrated AMD graphics and got the same thing one day. luckily I was already planning on returning that pc on the day it happened so I spent no time troubleshooting. I know that does not help much but IMO its likely just a driver issue of some sort.

I assume you tried putting your card back to stock before deciding to post this thread?

I am doing it one by one. I put it back to stock speeds first, but the issue hasn't come up again yet. I figured someone else has had this happen to them.

That sort of corruption is usual VRAM is overclocked too high.

If you have returned your card to stock speed and flashed back to the 6950 configuration and still have this problem, try another driver version. If it still happens, there is the chance that your card might be damaged. I'll ask someone to chime in that has had some experience with unlocking these.
