I built my friend a computer with a flashed x800gto2 to an overclocked x850xtpe. I used the zalman vf700. I also used a x64 3200 overclocked to 2.4Ghz with the CNPS9500. I built this computer about 4 months ago, and it has recently started having problems. The case has a temp monitor, i just stuck the sensors as close as i could to the core in the heatsink.
recently, he said that when the case says the cpu temp gets to 36c, there is some slowdown of the computer. He also added that this only happens when he is playing games like hl2 and ww2 online. I checked all his parts a few days ago...and the temps were perfect when under load. So I doubt it is the temps. But he said it ONLY happens when he sees 36c on the temp monitor. help anyone?
