What is causing my computer to reboot randomly?

My computer has taken on the habit of randomly rebooting itself while I'm in the middle of something. There doesn't seem to be any real set pattern of when it does it, it just does it.

I recently installed some new Mushkin RAM, and thought that may be the reason, so I ran memtest86 on it and it did report 1 error on one stick. Is that still something that could cause the resets?

Here are the rest of my system specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ @ 3000+
Epox 8rda+ (nForce 2)
nVidia Geforce 4 TI4200
Optowrite DVD burner
Seagate 160gb HD

Any thoughts? Would 1 error on the RAM be the likely cause?

yes that could reboot the pc. Make sure you are running the stick or sticks at the right cas speeds in the bios.

You could try to run the computer off of one stick and if it has errors, run it off the other and see if the reboots go away.
