I'm looking to find a good processor to overclock around the $90 range. Is it better to get the Athlon XP 2500+ mobile or the Athlon XP 2600+ mobile? The 2600+ isn't that much pricier but does it overclock alot better? Please help. Thanks in advance.

If there's a better processor for that price, please advise me.

2600+ is typically more consistent at reaching higher speeds, obviously, but it's not going to OC significantly better. The max these chips hit are roughly 2.6ghz on air if you get a good one. I had a real hard time getting my 2500+ mobiles to 2.6, but my 2600+ did it. Some say a mobile's PR rating is what you can imagine its max OC can be. Think of it that way when you want to compare them.

I have a 2600+ mobile running at 2.2GHz (15 x 147) with default votage. The overclock is less than stellar, but that is the max I can run on my K7S5A board. Damn FSB limits! :| :(
