What is better, Thunderbird or Classic Atholon?

What processor is better, the class Atholong Processor with 512K of L2 Cache or the new thunderbird with 256K L2 cache?

On the Thunderbird/Duron, the L2 cache is on die and runs at a 1:1 ratio, unlike the class athlon.

wel if you didnt know wich was faster you should have asumes the classic was slower being an older design and all

Another reason to go T-Bird: it's socket A. The "classic" Athlon uses Slot A and that's on it's way out.

The T-bird's cache runs at full speed, so it is better than the Athlon classic, even though there is less of it (256K L2 on the Thunderbird, 512K on the classic, running at a fraction of the core speed).
