What is better SLOT or SOCKET?

I have a Slot what am I mising on or gaining?

Strictly speaking, you are not losing or gaining anything. Performance of both are exactly the same. The only advantage that I would see from getting a Slot 1 is the possibility of better cooling since the heatsink is much larger. The drawback of Slot 1 is that it won't go into most of the newest motherboards coming out, ie i815E, since they are all Socket 370.
