What is better and/or easier: Briding a ISP router/modem or DMZ?

I want to use my pfSense as my main router but in order to make the PPPoE connection, I would have to put in bridge mode my ISP router/modem. What is better, putting it in bridge mode or setting its DMZ host as the pfSense?

Thank you.

Bridge it.

If you want pFsense to be your router, let it route.
I wasnt specifically refering to pfSense. I was talking in general network situations.

The only shame I have about briding is not being able to access the modem again.

You should still be able to configure it, no? Does it not pick up an IP from the local router? (Or you can specify one?)

Lame if true.

I was talking to CentruryLink support about this yesterday. yes, it becomes invisible in bridge mode and that is a PItA at times. If the modem they provided had some advanced port forwarding and remote management features it would be unnecessary.
Most of the business DSL I support is bridged with a static IP.
