I want to add a certain piece of equipment to my computer setup at my home. I have cable internet,and wish to supply dedicated bandwith to any of 2-3 computers at a time.
A print sharing setup would be nice,too.
The problem I am having is nobody seems to call the thing the same name.
There are "Residential Gateways",Hardware firewalls,Managed routers,managed switches,LAN connection appliances, etc.
I'd like this hardware firewall/Lan/Switched Router handle at least 5 computers or more.Of course, not more than 3 would be used at any given time, and usually 2 at the most.
It'd be nice to be able to log on to whatever computer and go.
I also want the very best firewall.
