any of those will be limited by the PCI bus anyway, so take your pick based on featureset.

For ATI, the Visiontek 9100 (aka 8500LE) PCI is the best available. Usually only found on Ebay, since they are not made anymore.

For Nvidia, if you can find a FX 5700LE PCI w/128-bit memory interface, then that would be your best option.

Old pci card review - made before 5700LE's hit the market

This does not seem to apply to this instance, but, if you are talking about mixing an AGP card with a PCI card, if the AGP card is from ATI, get a nVidia card. Much better dual compatibility that way.

Hey Mloot, I was looking for the FX 5700LE PCI w/128-bit that you mentioned - could only find reference as w/ AGP interface. Did they make a PCI vesion.

can find plent of the:

PCI BUS Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 128Mb Video Card V28 in the $60-90 range

or the PCI Bus Nvidia FX 5200 128MB Video Card FX5200 V30 in the $40-60 range

How do they compare to the 5700le PCI ?

Which one do you think is best bank for $$ ?

thanks
