There are quite a few good ones, since you`ll find everyone has their favourite firewalls. I do like Sygate,you can get it free from here,btw I never like Norton`s software,always too buggy and bloated IMHO.

Buggy? Yeah, no more and no less than the others.

Bloated? Yeah it is true. However this is one of the "stencile" remarks from the time we paid $500 for a 80MB HardDrive.

You`re entitled to your opinion just like I`m entitled to mine,there`s good alternatives to Norton`s software around and most use less resources then Norton`s software,some people do care 😉.


Getting back to Firewalls, other versions include ZoneAlarm(they do a free version as well),Tiny personal firewall from here.

The bottom line is there are quite a few available and it`s down to which firewall you prefer on ease of use ,layout etc.
