Just curious because my room with my computer feels kind of warm. I just built this system with the ecs k7s5a and a duron 1.2. What is a good temp for this non-overclocked system? When should I start to worry?

Motherboard monitor 5 (mbm5) is showing 54 c so should I be concerned? I had a blue screen with xp earlier and that is why I ask now. I am running the dragon orb 1 on my cpu. Should I get a different heatsink/fan combo?

I think it would probably be worth the investment to get a better HS/F. It is better safe than sorry.

Get a good thermal compound, too, if you don't have one already. Arctic Silver series or Arctic Alumina (slightly less effective, but cheaper) are good.

I highly recommend the svc gc-68. It was about 15 bucks shipped from case-mod.com I have it on my 1.2 duron. I lapped it, threw some artic alumina on there and my 100% CPU usage load temps are 39 to 41 C. With the volcano 6cu+ that I had before the gc68, I was running at around 46 under full load. the gc68 is quiet and good. I highly recommend it and using good thermal compound. I
