Audio cdr's will work ok in your pc. But they are made for the home burner system that's not a pc. Like those stand alone Philips units. The stand alone units can not burn regular cdr's. They are NOT worth the extra $$$ to buy.

NO! The only difference between an "audio" CDR and a "data" CDR is that a small royalty is paid to the music recording industry for each blank disc sold. A small bit of code is written to a part of the blank disc that can't be written to (by a burner) in order for stereo component CD recorders to verify that the royalty has been paid. A computer CDR drive just ignores that code.
They don't burn better or sound better. They just cost more.
