Ok I am doing a little research into getting a better CDRW becasue the one I have is crap, and don't want to get stuck with another one that might be the same. When I am look around online I see that some CDRWs have ATAPI/EIDE. Well I know what is a EIDE interface and that the kind I have on my motherboard but what is the ATAPI? Is is some kind of a interface that is different or better then EIDE? Will it work on my current motherboard whis has well IDE connectors?

ATAPI is a specification that allows CD drives to run on IDE/EIDE controllers. It will work on your motherboard.
