Well. I need a new hard drive for my old HP which only has 40 gigs and I saw that there is a Barracuda 160GB, 7200 RPM, Internal ATA/100 Hard Drive for sale. The HP I want to put it in only has an IDE port. Will it work? If not then I have another comp which runs on a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and will the ATA/100 work on that? I look on the website and it says it has "Dual Fast ATA-133 IDE controllers", not ATA/100. I can always take the one in the MSI comp and use that in my HP. Thanx

yes, it will work just fine.

(an ATA133 IDE controller supports ATA66, 100 or 133)
