none that I am awar of. Maybe just a stepping before the 8235 update, or mabye a cheaper 8235 without USB2.0

Nah, it's definitely the same chip. Might be a later production lot, a minor tweak in the manufacturing process, or just the switch from sample lot to mass production - without any other changes. Nothing to get headaches about.
