I'm thinking about buying a new video card, and I saw in the desription of one of the cards that it includes an "S-AV adapter." Is this the same thing as an S-video to RCA adapter?
Most retail video cards with TV-out that I've been looking at do not have that adapter. Some do (maybe like 1/5 of the Radeon 9250 and GeForce FX5200 cards that I've seen), and more of them have a regular S-video cable. I'm looking at the Gigabyte Radeon 9250 128 MB DDR. here
I'm not an expert on video cards, so if somebody would like to recommend a budget card around $40-50 for somebody who doesn't play games, I'd appreciate that. Having some sort of S-video to RCA adapter/cable is a huge plus, but I guess it's not absolutely necessary.
