what is an "inverted card"?

i just got my laptop back from IBM and under "corrective action" it says they "replaced inverted card". the problem i was having was that my backlight was turning off in the middle of usage. pretty sure it isn't a video card because there is another section for "replaced video card" which they did not check off.

Should say 'inverter card' not inverted, I suspect.
