I just recently got a new EP-7KXA mobo.

I'm not the greatest techie.

But i have no clue what a Amr port.

It looks like a Agp slot but it's half as big.

Any help would be apreciated to squench my curious mind.

Audio Modem Riser, it is basically a cheep way to put a modem in your computer, even cheeper than a winmodem

Audio/Modem Riser=AMR

It's a slot for cheap OEM sound/modem cards that rely upon the host processor for calculations to be done. Supposed to be very cheap, but even now long after the original release of AMR the cards for it are pretty much non-existant.

I want to say Comunications/Network Riser.. I believe its an update, instead on using AMR.. and allows for higher speed comm and inexpensive network cards.
