what is activation phone number

I'm trying to activate windows, but the only thing I can get on the phone is a computer voice that asks me the numbers and has no options to talk to a real person when the activation doesn't work. Seems like other people have been able to do this. I need to talk to a person so that I can tell them my story to get them to reactivate it. The recording won't listen!

When I call and the activation through the computer voice fails.... it automatically puts me into a queue to talk to a real person....

HHmmm i guess i better try it again

Edit: It won't let me, once it doesn't work it suggests I uninstall and try again. It says a few more things and then says goodbye and hangs up on me. I guess it's time to either buy another copy or try some experiments.

What country are you calling? The USA number at least puts you through to a live person.

had a hard drive fail a year and a half ago when i reinstalled on new hd it wouldn't activate because it thought i was installing it on another system.
At that time a phone # popped up on the screen which I dialed and spoke to a person who gave me a new activation # entered it and I was fine.

Unfortunately I didn't write it down. but it suprises me it didn't give you a number also.
