IT doesn't really matter if you trust the company offering the short link. I'm glad these are being banned - though I never click short URL links from people I don't trust anyway.

Well I found a fairly comprehensive list used by a Firefox extension. Now I just need to create a script to be able to use this info with DD-WRT...

Is there a way to force it to show where the shortlink is linking too rather then banning the links themselves?

I like how Slashdot handled the tubgirl/goatse issue when that was popular - each link in a post always show the actual domain.

Instead of being able to do this:

http://www.google.com

You'd see:

http://www.google.com [youareajerk.com]

But I don't guess that helps with URL shorteners, without actually following the link and posting back the actual domain.
