What is a song that starts off great but totally goes downhill from there?

My pics goes to "Tonight She Comes" by The Cars. Still a pretty good song, but I just love the beginning. There's more, but I can't think of them right now.

Thrice - Under A Killing Moon

The first half is absolutely fantastic. But as soon as he starts screaming that repetative crap at the half way point, it kills the song. BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless, it's a great song.

I dunno, Free Bird is a pretty solid beginning, enough so that I don't dislike it even though it goes sour halfway through.

Man, the beginning is kinda "bleh" but it really picks up with the three guitars at the end. Another example of this is Layla, which has an awesome piano solo at the end. It annoyed me when one of my friends just downloaded the vocals of that song.

I always thought the first 1:45 or so of "Leader of Men" by Nickleback was great. The rest of the song just seemed kinda meh to me I guess.

It depends on the mood you're in. The first time I heard it I was in one of those down moods and it was great til it got to the end. Then another time I wanted to rock out and it came on and it was awesome once it got to that point. I like the song either way, it's just that most the time I prefer the beginning to the end.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2

Once the backup singers/choir/whatever start singing, it loses something. Still after all these years an amazing song, though.

I'll say Hey Jude. That ending just goes on forever.

I'll tell you all what sounds great. Silence before some punks are driving down my street blasting ghey rap w/ bass rattling their trunks and windows, yet they think it's cool.

Any Mewithoutyou song. It sounds good at the start, but when he opens his mouth to start "singing" it sounds like garbage.

Blood Brothers and Mewithoutyou songs. Why did the non-singing guy for BB swallow a cat? They are absolutely terrible, and it's all that guy's fault.
