what is a slotket?

It's used to put a socket processor into a slot motherboard. So you would put like a socket CPU into a slotket which would then plug into a slotted motherboard. It's kinda like an adapter.

It's an adapter, it allows the use of a socket cpu, ie, Socket A, Socket 370 etc.. within a Slot interface, such as Slot 1.

During the migrate between the Slot and Socket CPUs a few years back, many motherboard were still Slot based, and to use the new Socket CPUs, a SlotKet was used to install them, since the socket cpu plugs into a socket on the slotket, the slotket then plugs into the motherboard's CPU Slot.

Slotkets sucked goat nads. If I just tapped my case it would freeze my system up. I hate slotkets. I hate them, damn them!! Socket for life~!

They are = they are, not their. Their is used when referring to your property such as: Their house was on fire.

I'm pretty sure he was just using a socket A cpu as an example.
