What is a safe temp range for T-Birds?

I have a T-Bird 900MHz (not o/c'd) on a KT7-RAID and the CPU temp when running all day is about 59-61C. What is a safe range? Should I improve my cooling?

Mine hits 58c and up there. They get warm. You running on a new Asus A7? That's what mine is. Personally i think the people that say they run at 30c is a load of crap without watercooling.

The problem is that the comparisons are always flawed.

My TBird 750 is overclocked to 1.1 GHz. At idle I run in the mid to high twenties, and under load it gets up to the high 40s or low 50s.

Seems like your 60c is a real problem then, but not necessarily. Every MB reads tems in a different manner. My KT7 might report 50c, but that is just the temp at the point of the probe, which is UNDERNEATH the chip. How accurate is it? Who knows? How accurate is the reading from your A7V? Who knows?

What I know is that my system has been running in a certain range for quite some time, and appears stable. I will worry about my temp when it becomes unstable and the temps MY system reports change.

Not a very satisfying answer, but it is the best you are going to get. It is very difficult to comapre two systems temps when they are on the same MB, much less when they are on different MBs.
