What is a .pcx file?

Hey guys some one at work got sent an .pcx file, how do you open it?

hehehe.... sorry... *.PCX is a Graphic File Format.

If you're using a Windows base computer, go to Start > Programs > Accessories > and click Imaging (IF you have that installed but it should be included. It's standard).

From that, go to File > Open ... and locate that file.

Yup. .pcx is the file format developed by Zsoft for its PC Paintbrush program. Made more compact files than .bmp, the MS format. Any decent graphics file viewer should show it fine. If you don't have a viewer, dowload IrfanView from any of the usual DL sites.
