If you're serious, your question can be answered quickly by utilizing the "search" feature. This has been discussed ad nauseum lately.

A "nef" is a useless post. This is a useless post seeing as you could've used the forums "search" function and found the millions of threads pertaining to this topic instead of wasting space and bandwidth. 🙁

Nef was a term derived from the user "Nef". He continusly posted useless topics to jack up his post count. So the term "nef" means to post useless topics just to up your post count. I hope this clarifies any questions you had. 🙂

lol I lurked here long enough to know not to ask the question but always thought it was an acronym for something like Null Event Flag or something similar. Live and learn.

We need something that starts with and F and means the same thing as a post in a forum.
 
I knew it was a form of being able to post extra. without actully having anything intelligent to say but I didn't know where it came from

amusing enough. I've seen it &quot;nef&quot; used on a couple of other UBB messages board around the net.
